Absolutely Essential Eloise |
Eloise, the perpetually 6-year-old girl who lives at the Plaza Hotel in New York City, was created by Kay Thompson and brought into the light by renowned illustrator Hilary Knight. Hilary Knight was introduced to Kay Thompson by a mutual friend. This friend recognized that the unique talent and wit that is Mr. Knight would join magically with the ELOISE persona created by Ms. Thompson.
The rest, as they say, is history. Giraffics Gallery has represented Hilary Knight for over 8 years, featuring his original drawings, paintings, children's books, posters, and prints. Giraffics has also hosted an ELOISE Extravaganza at the Plaza Hotel featuring Mr. Knight and other children's book illustrators, seasonal book signing events, exhibitions and an annual booksigning on Fifth Avenue in front of Tiffany's during the New York is Book Country Fair.
